User Reviews for Paradise Food Court
Its like a ritual visiting Paradise every friday evening while returning from office and packing a 'Kilo' of mutton biryani - m sure it weighs that much, Rotis and curries. My wife is a big fan of Shahi chicken but when I had ordered once Chicken mughlai ; she missed on the opportunity to have that as it was her veg day - but by the looks of it she waiting for an opportunity to have it.
This week when I ordered the regular stuff I was astonished to see that they had made chicken mughlai in shahi chicken base. Now I know this because shahi chicken is boneless and mughlai is with bone - I am very much familiar with the tastes and was really surprised by their lack of inconsistency. If they don't have the base they could have said but should not have changed the recipe just to fulfill the order.
Buckle up guys..coz I am sure you are underestimating your regulars by passing of wrong recipes thinking them to be new ones who won't be able to differentiate. time to introspect - its easier to reach d top but maintaining it is tougher.
I have spent many a Friday evening with the typical mutton Biryani double masala from Paradise while returning from office.
Despite what people crib about loss of authenticity, modern taste and other rants, I am yet to find better flavor in Hyderabad.
A big disclaimer is attached to it though, eat WHILE HOT! Else 30% of taste is lost.
I am a huge fan of their mutton biryani and the humongous serving size.
The place has a queue, despite which you will be served within no time.
I don't care much about their masala though and have always returned it.
Worth overeating: Mutton biryani
There's nothing new to be said about Paradise, the most famous biriyani-place in town. The reason I write this review is because I really liked the ambience of this place. We were seated at the roof top. Service was very good. Food is no different from what is served at Secunderabad or besides Prasad's. Don't miss the special non-veg kebab platter here. Comes with 4 varieties of chicken kebab, 1 mutton kebab and rolled bits of roomali roti. I'm particularly fond of their sheek kebab. :) The regulars like Biriyani, Tandoori roti, Chicken Tikka masala were all good, no complains!
My first visit to this place was in August 2013. My out of town friends heard a lot about Paradise biryani and wanted to try it out. We were a group of 6 people and the place was full with a long line of people waiting for their turn to sit down. The wait was shorter than I expected (only about 10 minutes) and we immediately ordered Chilli chicken,Mutton biryani, chicken masala, chicken biryani,Gobi Manchurian,Chilly prawns and Veg noodles.
I thought Chilli chicken and chilly prawns were okay. I am not surprised one more time that the prawns are over cooked to my taste. I prefer them to be moist and tender. Gobi Manchurian was pretty good. The mutton biryani was flavourful with tender pieces of mutton that melted in my mouth. I did not enjoy the chicken biryani as much as I enjoyed the mutton variation, probably because I was full by then. The noodles were just okay and seemed too dry. We will return for the biryani.
After my first review of this restaurant, the hotel management promised me that my next visit would be extremely different from the ones I had before and also suggested me to try out their kebabs which are equally good... So I finally had a chance to visit this restaurant with my brother after office work. First there was a dilemma about where to go? Mainland China or Paradise... But remembering my earlier review about this restaurant and the hotel management's response, I decided to visit Paradise and give it a try again...
So as I got into this restaurant and got seated, we didn't want to try out the Biryani first and hence decided to try out some kebabs... My brother was least interested in trying out the kebabs as he was mentally too tired and hence we decided to still to the age old classic - Tandoori Chicken...
Our Tandoori Chicken arrived after a few minutes and it was in bright red color... Waiting no more, we decided to savor the great taste of traditional tandoori chicken... After a couple of bites, I first noticed that the chicken marination was not proper... First it was irregular on the top and after splitting the chicken, I saw uncooked flesh deep inside the chicken... Disappointed, I showed it to my brother and he too felt that the chicken wasn't cooked well...
With utter disappointment, I called up the restaurant manager and showed him the undercooked chicken... He was courteous enough to take it back immediately and apologized for the irregular serve... We waited for few more minutes and then got well cooked marinated tandoori chicken which was followed by the biryani...
To iterate a point here to the management, this is not the first time I had been disappointed with your kebabs but when I did hear from you guys to try out the new kebabs, I felt things might have changed for good... But you guys just proved me wrong... This might be an one off issue or perhaps I might be the wrong goat who gets sacrificed for your kitchen misfires but let me garner your attention once more... I would like to tell you people that I am never going to try out these kebabs at your Hi-tech City restaurant! They are really bad and I don't want to do this inspector job again and again to find out the faults even during casual meals... The pros of this visit was the courteous staff and Biryani...
Might be a hard pill but a genuine suggestion is that you guys please don't suggest anything other the Biryani at least at this Hi-Tech City restaurant!
Genuine Suggestion: Congratulations! Your Biryani rocks and the rest of the menu just falls flat!
