I've been here just once and my experience was pretty good. The ambience here is subtle, although they could play some better music. The food was amazing. The staff had a good knowledge of both the food and the wine menu, service was good as well. Everyone should try their chicken steak with lemon wine sauce, one of the best dishes I have ever had.
Blanco has always been my classic favorite ...went back recently, after ages and beyond impressed with their new menu. Three pepper steak was mindblowing and I loved how well the waiter followed my instruction to get me my steak exactly how i wanted....Mediterranean Salad and Chicken Salt and Pepper are a must try ...the new live sushi counter is decent and doesnt fail to impress either!
been to blanco twice as they have happy hours till midnight...wit the happy hours it doesn't quite burn a hole in ur pocket n becomes affordable. except for the pizzas the food is strictly okay. hits and misses mostly as they Try to experiment wit a wide variety on d menu. service can definitely do wit some pulling up. the urban chic look that the decor was aimed at isn't quite there (blue lighting ??? on the forever empty dj console where serving trays were stacked) n is out of sorts wit the family type kind of crowd and 5 year old pop hit songs they play.
I dont know what's wrong with this place. People like it and write many great things about it but I dont know, whenever I visit this place I end up paying that kind of money in which I would have been sloshed had I been in route 04.
The place though is priced a bit on the higher side has a great collection of booze and serves great cocktails. Their beer menu is also amazing.
The only disappointing thing here is their food. Though they make great pizzas and great non veg appetizers as chicken satay and lamb kebabs. But the portion sizes are way too small. The biggest ripoff are their platters, the cost a bomb to just fizz out the moment they arrive on your table. Though they score big time on the taste meter but the small portion leave you asking for more.
Overall a place you visit when route 04 is too crowded, and you are in the mood for some more relaxing atmosphere.
My friend and I were just strolling through Khan market when hunger pangs led us on to a quest for a good eating place. I had once heard really good music blaring out of Blanco so I insisted that we give Blanco a try. As soon as I reached the seating area, my little knowledge of French made me wonder if the name "Blanco" was inspired by the "blanc" walls the restaurant has. The place looks like an urban-chic living-room. There was an outside seating area on the second floor so my friend and I decided to enjoy the Delhi wintery feel in that area. This area overlooks the parking lot so the view isn't that great, if you don't like gawking at cars. However, the potted plants on the balcony manage to create a green curtain shielding that view.
We ordered fussili pasta in tomato basil sauce, 1 LIIT, and 1 mojito. The LIIT was watery, and the sugar wasn't properly crushed in the mojito. Blanco definitely needs to get better bartenders. The fussili pasta was delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying tomato basil sauce was lip-smacking. The portion size of the dish was good enough for two "really hungry" people. The stewards were courteous and attentive. The place doesn't do very well on the "value for money" parameter.
