Went to Boston downtown and had hotpot for the first time in my life. We ordered hotpot which came with 3 choices of broth - Mala, chicken bone,  Mongolian. Remember the broths keep boiling and become progressively thicker. Beware of the mala, it becomes spicier. The entrees were High Choice Lamb and Pork. For a while honestly I was lost as to how to negotiate all the stuff and make a meal out of them. Finally figured it out. Basically it involves putting everything into the broths and dipping them into a dipping sauce and putting them into the mouth. Multiple ingredients like garlic, shrimp paste, Basel, spring onions and chili oil were provided which can be combined in any way to make the dip you like. The waitresses were very helpful and forthcoming with advice. Pretty memorable experience.
