After booking our trip to Chicago in early November, we virtually ran to put up reservations for Christmas Eve, which we were glad we did after seeing the line-up at the front of the restaurant.

The restaurant itself was incredibly aesthetically pleasing. The chic black&white decor ran throughout, making it an elegant experience.

The food itself was incredible. We started with the Fresh Homemade Ricotta with Ciabatta Roast, and the RPM Caesar Wedge sans anchovies, both of which were incredibly light, crisp and delicious. The Bucatini and Gnocchi were both simply flavoured and delicious. We usually skip dessert at restaurants, but the server told us about their special Bomboloni, which we couldn't refuse. It came hot and puffy, coated with coarse sugars and alongside whipped cream, a nutella spread, and a lemon meringue spread.

RPM will always be a go-to when i'm in Chicago. I wish they had it in Toronto.

My mum and I visited RPM Italian on 11/10/2015 and there is nothing else to say then it was absolutely amazing!! From the fried olives to the homemade gnocchi and the homemade cavatelli to the bombolini for desert we could not have asked for a more impressive meal. We loved our experience and would definitely come back. It was definitely worth traveling from Australia.

Ricotta gnudi with white truffle is TO DIE FOR. Lobster ravioli is excellent. I never get chicken out, but their chicken parm converted me. Love sharing the small plates and trying lots of dishes.

This chic all-white restaurant is wonderful and has a great modern spin on classic Italian food. I've been here on several occasions and enjoyed my experience each time. The staff is impeccable and the food is divine.

Some of favorite dishes include: Lobster caprese (literally this is a MUST get here), fresh homemade ricotta, truffled garlic bread, Mama DePandi's bucatini, papperdelle bolognese, and the handmade cavatelli.

If you're interested in having a romantic date night or celebrating a special occasion this is a perfect spot! I say this because it is a bit on the pricier side.

Amazing! I was nervous it was going to be overrated because it's a celebrity owned restaurant but the food was incredible! The main dish portions are small so I would advice sharing a few appetizers with the table! Everything was delicious!

I genuinely enjoy this place, and after my first visit I was itching to go back. With that said, I feel it's much better suited for a girls night than a romantic date night. The decor is very sleek and modern. Everything is black and white. The music is not romantic or what you'd picture in an old school Italian restaurant - think more club/lounge. Everything from the cocktails and food to the service were spectacular. The homemade pastas were a slam dunk (we had squid ink pasta with spicy crab & boar ragu). The homemade ricotta is fresh and light. The one thing I'd skip is the cheese stuffed peppers app. The lobster caprese was incredible as well. Definitely worth a try!
Reservations are a bit hard to come by, but bar seating is often available.

I’m always amazed that a place the size of RPM can churn out such great quality food. But they do, and they do it consistently well. My only knock on RPM is that it can be a bit of a “too cool for school” scene. For example, you’re handed lighted pagers while you wait for your table and Hollywood backers Giuliana & Bill Rancic showed up once while we were there to guest bartend – quite the show. Trendiness aside, the food, the service, the bar and the wine list are all fantastic. If you want a start the meal off with a little confidence juice, I recommend the bellini and the Long Faced Dove. Some of my shouldn’t miss dishes are - fried burrata, lobster caprese, gnocco frito (fried dough), mushroom pizette (small pizza), sweat pea agnolotti, king crab spaghetti, whole branzino and the veal chop. For dessert I get the rice pudding with vanilla gelato. I’m a sucker for rice pudding.

I dined at RPM Italian with two friends. We began with the Homemade Ricotta with Semolina Toast and Tomato Sauce. The ricotta was fresh and creamy, and the bread was warm.
Next we had the Roman Style Artichokes. They were beautifully fried, but the aioli was a little lack luster.
We each ordered a pasta, and we rotated them around the table so that everyone could try them all. We conveniently ordered three very different pastas: I had the Mushroom Sagnarelli with a rich and creamy wild mushroom sauce, Christine who is currently obsessed with all things fall had the Pumpkin Agnolotti with crispy prosciutto and capers, and Jen had the Pappardelle Bolognese with pecorino.
The Mushroom Sagarelli was the richest and creamiest of the pastas. It was also my favorite. It was topped with big chunks of meaty mushrooms. The Pumpkin Agnolotti was the second best, the pumpkin didn’t overpower the dish and the prosciutto lent a nice saltiness. I wasn’t convinced by the... read more

Wonderful Anniversary Dinner. We really enjoyed RPM Italian. The meatballs are to die for. I am sitting here still thinking about them 5 months later. The décor is nice. We did not enjoy the squid ink pasta but everything else was great. Do not skip the garlic bread!

It was fine but a party of 9 cannot order off the regular menu. We had reservations for a party of 9 and were not allowed to dine off of the regular menu. We had to choose what we wanted off of a special menu that started at $45 and practically everything you would want had an upcharge. When I spend $45 for a meal, I want what I want because it's my money; what a concept. Despite this issue, the food was pretty good however the spaghetti or whatever it was tasted like Chef boyardee. It was awful! Brussell sprouts, pork, swordfish, mashed potatoes, carpaccio were all pretty good. I probably would not go back because I think I could find something better in Chicago.
