One of the best sea food restaurants in the country. The location is ideal, as is the architecture of the place. The menu is very inventive as well, albeit pricey.

My favorites, hands down, are the fatté and the tabboulé. Both have a sea-food twist that, while not a sea food enthusiast, work superbly well.

The service is always great. The servers are present at all times, making sure your requests are fulfilled very promptly.

In a matter of months, Babel Bahr has become a place that my family frequents very often for all kinds of occasions, whether important or otherwise. It's easy to see why.

Overrated? Perhaps. But it's still quite good and I like that it's its own niche: you know what you're getting when you go to Dip N Dip.

I've only tried two things here because I can't say I'm a big fan of sugar indulging. Their signature fettuccini crepe with a lot of white chocolate is really good although halfway through it, you can feel the hyperglycemia frying your brain. Strawberry or some other fruits would make it so much better.

I also like their crunchy ice cream, which is one of the "lighter" things they offer. I always take it with white chocolate and vanilla or chocolate ice cream, and think such a combination is the best one. Yet again, I'm a white chocolate fan...

I've recently developed quite the addiction to this place, mostly because its menu has some really good light options and the salads are quite good.

In non-light food categories, the spizy or famous chicken rolls are really good. I also enjoy their fresh juices but think they are on the overpriced side given the portion size.

In the light food section, I recommend the light chicken sandwich as well as the light halloumi sandwich. Both are excellent, depending on what you feel like.

Their fattoush is one of the best; I like the halloum addition to it. I also really like their quinoa tabbouleh.

Breakfast wise, the aarous labneh is excellent as is the halloumi platter although I think...

The memories at this place.

Royal Pizza is a Batrouni landmark, which is to say that the new slogan for Batroun should be: if you came to Batroun and didn't try Royal, did you actually visit?

Ever since I was a little boy, this was our go-to place when we had some time to go out: after exams with school friends, with friends and family, etc...

I've tried Pizzas all across the world. None has managed to beat this one yet, not even the one I've tried in Italy and not even the one I tried in NYC at a place that calls itself "the best pizza in the planet."

Price wise, you can't get cheaper than this. An average of $10 per person Max is enough for lunch and dessert at the...

Talk about massively underwhelming.

I was invited here for an Iftar and had hopes for what I had heard was a unique culinary experience in the country. I couldn't have been wrong.

The salads - fattoush and tabboulé - were more oil than vegetables. The wrapped grape leaves were not impressive, and neither were the hummus of the other items of Lebanese mezze.

The service was not good either. You'd order a drink and it would either take forever to get to you or it wouldn't get to you at all and you'd have to order it again. The place was not even *that* crowded to justify the service being stretched thin.

The main courses were presented very late. I had already given up by then but I...

I was recently on a trip to NYC when I was invited to dinner here. My initial reaction was: meh, I just came here from Lebanon. Why do I need to try a Lebanese place?

It turned out I missed my country's cuisine, and the twist Ilili adds to it is great.

I was clearly familiar with most of what the place had to offer, but it did have many twists on some items that I'd gotten used to back home. Shawarma done with unusual meat (duck!), a twist on French fries and calling them Phoenician Fries (ahoy Lebanese complexes agglomerate).

Ilili is definitely on the more expensive side of restaurants I've been to in NYC. But it's worth it. I didn't even care, a few plates of mezzé in, that I'm...

I've been to Babel a couple of times on two different occasions. The first time I was there was with family for just a regular Saturday dinner. I thought the place was architecturally impressive then, very pleasant to sit in. The food is typical Lebanese food, with minimal twists. The menu definitely had stuff I hadn't heard of before. We didn't go with the per person formula because those are always overpriced and unnecessary if you're not heavy eaters. The food was good, as you'd expect from a place such as this, but definitely in the overpriced range. There are many items here that are improved upon in the Babel Baher version of the restaurant in Amchit. The service back then, however...read more

Well, I'm impressed.

I went to this place to celebrate my dad's birthday. I had heard good things, but it exceeded my expectation.

It's a typical Lebanese-seafood restaurant, so the menu is similar to what you'd expect at this place but everything is excellently prepared. I'm not much of a fish fan so I can't attest to those, but the shrimp provincial was really good, as was the rest of the typical Lebanese mezze. Everyone loved their fattoush.

The service was great as well. The waiter at our table, Mostapha, was extremely pleasant, very knowledgeable, and very courteous.

The location is also ideal. We sat on the outside terrace, which literally plunges into the sea and gives you a...

T-Marbouta is definitely one of the best places to have Lebanese food in Beirut.

There's not enough that can be said about their batata harra. It's beyond amazing. I'm also not a fan of Tabbouleh - cue in the Lebanese outrage - but theirs is really good. I especially like how it's citrusy.

You will probably not find a place easily, especially at peak hours, and they don't take reservations as far as I know but the wait is always worth it. They also serve a wide array of mezze, some of which were new to me, and it's all good to try. But I stress that you must try the bata harra.

I've been here plenty of times with friends and once with my family. I found the place to be much more...

DELIVERY

Jun 18, 2015

Tomatomatic is a really good pizza place that has interesting offers for delivery.

They have a combo of a regular-sized pizza (enough for two) with fries and a drink for about 20,000, which is a very good deal.

I especially like their swiss mushroom pizza and I don't usually like mushroom. Their delivery doesn't offer credit card services, but they once offered to simply allow me to pay later which I found to be a very good gesture.
