Terrific spot, Best Thai I've found in LA. Set in a Thai-centric strip of Sherman Way, this restaurant has evolved in its look over the years I've been going here but never varied it its terrific food. I first discovered it with a bunch of CalTech nerds (who are great at finding terrific cheap eats) and at that time it was super down-scale, but crowded with a mix of Thai families and people like us who had found it through friends. The food was amazing, be it vegetarian fare (my choices) or any of the meat categories (and at the time, even included blood dishes). Now almost fifteen years later, the decor has changed (neon, aluminum, global clocks), the menus are now sleek and friendly, but the food remains the same - amazing. And super friendly on the wallet. It's cash only, but they have installed two ATMs in the store. A thai market is next door, so always fun to pop in. Beer and wine avail. The parking lot (front and back) fills quickly in prime hours but there's an ancient parking lot attendant who has been there forever and is as helpful as can be, pointing to where a spot is or waving you off to find street parking. Don't miss it.
