Cavalli Club , 150 Ocean Drive, T.305-695-4191, is a fashionista’s restaurant fantasy offering high style and a menu you can imagine Italian star designer Roberto Cavalli himself would have his private chef make at home (or shall we say homes)? Flattering lighting, and a sleek stainless steel bar with lime green fluorescent light. Eye candy is everywhere. The food is equally indulgent (though there’s a good selection too for those who want to keep their fashion friendly figures). Cavalli Miami is the third iteration of Roberto’s culinary endeavours (with sister properties in Milan and Dubai). Collaboratively designed by Cavalli and Italian-based architect, Italo Rota, the two-story restaurant and lounge reflects Casa Cavalli’s style of luxury and innovation. The intimate ground floor dining room is designed to mimic Cavalli’s own Tuscan villa featuring vibrant colours, intricate textiles, floral pattered tablecloths and Murano glasses imported from Venice. Never before seen photographs of Cavalli’s own private moments and celebrity encounters line the walls which appear as though he’s framed his own ego and splashed it across the room. Upstairs the sultry meets sophisticated (and wildly expensive) bar and lounge speak to Cavalli’s lifestyle of fashion, glamour and excess; sleek steel fixtures, grandiose chandeliers, posh couches with silk cushions, chairs covered in his signature zebra and jaguar print and sexy glass pyramidal walls.
