t’s not often that a restaurant in New York City lasts long enough to celebrate its tenth anniversary. Philippe New York is one of the few spots that has achieved this honor. The Beijing-style cuisine that put this spot on the map has attracted everyone from local New Yorkers to some of the hottest celebs, including Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Ophrah and Queen Bee. Named after owner and executive chef Philippe Chow, the restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Saturday and dinner seven days a week.

Ok at best. The service is luke warm. The salad was disappointing. Not that much should be expected from salad, but if the kitchen could open a bag of Trader Joes spring mix, add a couple of extra vegetables and dressing than anyone can do it in their own kitchen. The crispy beef was good. The julienned carrots were weak and limp. My martini had an extra unexpected and unwanted something. Returned with recycled olives. Really??

Overrated. Ok at best. The service is luke warm. The salad was disappointing. Not that much should be expected from salad, but if the kitchen could open a bag of Trader Joes spring mix, add a couple of extra vegetables and dressing than anyone can do it in their own kitchen. All in all, disappointing.

Not for special occasions!. Horrible experience! Service and management are very arrogant, incompetent and rude. Completely messed up a birthday dinner celebration of a special friend. Made us wait for Peking Duck forever and completely messed up birthday desert (after I specifically asked for it several times). And after we spent almost $500 for dinner for 2 people, they offered no resolution/compensation whatsoever. Never going back there again! I hate to complain, but this is totally unacceptable even for NYC. Money goes where it’s appreciated best!

NoParking.. Sell some more parking spaces. Cheaters never win, even in the rat race. You guys have a really nice day with your viral video, and your cheating ways. If you cut corners like this in front, what is the back like? Look forward to seeing your inspections, and your future difficulties.

Great Scene. Philippe is oneof those NY restaurants that always seems to be full of beautiful, wealthy people having a great time. Whether sitting at the bar sipping on a martini or at the dinner table devouring thePeking duck, it's always a great time.

LOVE IT!!!. One of my favorite restaurants in NY- Hands down! The food is incredible (Chilean Sea Bass Skewers melt in your mouth!!), the crowd is always gorgeous and fashionable, and every time I go there I meet a new celeb, from Steven Tyler to Buzz Aldrin (2nd man to walk on the moon). Plus, they're quite generous with their cocktails ;o) I recommend it to EVERYONE!!!
Good food but nothing you can't get from a decent Chinatown restaurant for half the cost. Service was attentive but seating was tight. Likely won't return.

Great food; loved the Peking duck. But I felt cramped in the enviornment... music was a bit loud. Service just alright. Overall, a nice place.

Excellent food and service. Cramped seating and loud acoustics make it a challenge for intimate dining
