Terrible meal. Terrible. Sadly, a chef I like (Amanda Freitag) was one of the chefs in the kitchen and is probably responsible for the cold, tough as nails, flavor-free roasted duck I received. And I won't go into the out-of-the-can liver pate amuse or the beefaroni version of smoked salmon spaetzle. Oh, and "trifle' of chocolate and lemon.....no, lemon pudding barely layered with dry to the bone brownie chunks. Yuk. All of it.
The menu looked interesting, the food was not. I'm very upset that they had the nerve to charge $60 + tax, on top of the shaker style eating arrangement (forks and knives in a rickety drawer under a cheap table...but hard to see so you have to ask).
And on top of it all, they weren't kind enough to tell us when we reserved that they were forbidden to serve alcohol and couldn't even host a byob!!! If we ever needed alcohol, it was tonight.
Don't go to this. It can't possibly be worth it. It won't feel new or nouveau or experimental in the least little bit. You will get at best a good meal at a normal high price, but with sloppy service that makes you feel like you are in a cafeteria.
Sorry John. Admire the effort, but really, with no heads up on the alcohol issue and such a terrible quality of food, I have to rant and say "really?"

So the service was stellar despite the crowds and our server was not only knowledgable but hilarious! She really took the time to make us all feel special. We had a great table against the wall to take in all the action and since we were smart enough to come in a small group (3), we got to taste alot of the menu. The Artichoke salad was a stand out and I also loved my friend's Swordfish.
Definitely give it a try, oh and MAKE A RESREVATION :)
