Concept needs work. Just back from dinner with party of 6. If you are more interested in a dark, noisy atmosphere with disco lights than in good food, this is the place for you. We ordered about 15 items. None was good, most were awful. Among the more acceptable were the mussels (5 out of 10) and -- in my opinion only, others didn't like it -- the squid salad, another solid 5. Meat dishes were overcooked, dry, and stale. Even the appetizers, which are often the best dishes in so-so venues, fell flat. Do not under any circumstances order the squid "jerky." The pork rinds are totally tasteless; your corner Mexican market has far better ones in packages. Even the "beer nuts" were sad. And don't count on the drinks to drown your disappointment; they are small, overpriced, and poorly mixed. Micky D's anyone?
Um, why?. Why is this place popular. Dropped $60 and left most of the food on the plates. Texture of the poached chicken was, as my 4-year-old said, "gooshy and squishy" and the white of the fried egg was partly raw. The only flavors in the BBQ chicken were fish sauce, and weirdly, char, although there was no char on it and the skin was flabby. Blistered green beans were the best thing we had, but the beans seemed not the highest quality (lots had baby beans aplenty inside the pod). Sauces tasted like they came from a can or jar, and the hubster's cocktail was sickeningly sweet. Service, at least, was adequate.
