First I have to say that this place does not take credit cards and the only notice is posted on the cash register and folder they give you the bill in. Otherwise the dumplings and rolls that I tried were quite good. The service however left a little to be desired. Not horribly slow but certainly not fast. Also don't go by yourself. To really experience the menu you need to go with a bunch of people so you can share each item. Some are many pieces and some are single pieces.

Overall I think I might go again but not until I've tried the other dim sum houses in the area.

The reviews say it all. This is a top-notch place to get an assortment of Chinese food. They have some vegetarian options, which is quite refreshing. I had the scallion pancakes and Chinese broccoli, both of which were excellently cooked. The vegetable soup dumplings didn't have any soup in them, but still they were filled to the brim with vegetables. My friends who had the pork vegetable dumplings loved them, as theirs was filled with soup. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were a good size. The service was quick, however hurried the server was to give us the check.

Best soup dumplings I've ever had, and I've had quite a few. Well worth the wait. BYOB which is perfect for standing in line. Cash only. Scallion pancakes are excellent as well.

I brought two of my less food-venturous friends to Dim Sum Garden last weekend because I knew it would be a good way to ease them into some super authentic asian food.  They ordered the vegetable lo mein, and the chicken fried rice, and I ordered the chicken on a stick and the steamed vegetable dumplings.  They LOVED the chicken on a stick (who wouldn't?).  Will definitely return.

Awesome Dim Sum at very reasonable prices. The food was fresh. Service was good and fast! The seating space is limited, but the food by far makes up for it.

Decided to stop by Dim Sum garden after the place was recommended to me by my coworkers. Went for Pork Soup and Shrimp Dumplings. The first ones were a little bland. The second ones did not meet my expectations either. Went for chicken and shrimp on a stick. Much better than the dumplings.

Great place for soup dumplings! Not only is the food great but it is also priced well. Had about 5 different dumplings and they were all really tasty. The best dish though was the pork soup dumpling, could not stop ordering it. Can't wait to go back and try their other dishes, definitely one of the best Asian places I have been to in Philly.

Ate here after walking around chinatown. It was pretty busy around lunchtime. Very tasty lunch. Nice atmosphere. Good dim sum menu. Ordered the crab and pork soup dumplings as well as the shrimp egg rolls and chicken on a stick. All of which were absolutely delicious. The server said the dumplings may take a bit but they came out right away. Good smoothie as well. I will be coming back.

This is pretty much my favourite restaurant in the states..  I lived in Shanghai for a bit and fell in love with the xiaolongbao there - seriously the tastiest things in the world, and impossible to find ones of similar taste in the west!  Dim Sum Garden nails it - they are absolutely delicious.   The rest of the menu is great to boot, and the staff are as friendly as can be.

They've always been great to our group, since we tend to head there for dinner/pre-games quite frequently - gotta love the BYO there.  Just a fun environment in general, and great for larger groups - just get there early-ish or expect a bit of a wait.  Loved the old location - had a very hole-in-the-wall vibe.  But the new location gives them much more space, and they pack the place.
