Even before I arrived in San Francisco, I have heard of Ike's from Adam Richman's show Man Vs. Food. And trying their famous sandwiches was on my to-do list in San Francisco. The line was pretty long and I have to say, after having just one bite from my sandwich, every minute waiting in line was definitely worth it. Every ingredient used was fresh and flavorful. Every morsel was just heaven. Ike's should open all over the world, it's that good.

Excellent sandwich but very saucy and messy. We went on a Sunday afternoon and I was glad we ordered online to pick up. The line to order there was very long.

Yummylicious - the sandwiches are absolutely brilliant. We were there a few days ago, based on reviews and recommendations and all of them turned out to be true.

The wait however was quite long - there was a line that took us 10-15mins to get to the counter and a 30min wait for the sandwiches to be served.

We had a Robin Williams, Matt Cain and a Manage e Trios - and they were just yummy. The guy at the counter suggested the Matt Cain and Manage e Trios and I recommend it too.

It has a small sit out to eat, unless you've ordered it to go. There is also an app that you can download to get a discount if it's your first time. The app details are available at the restaurant - you'll have plenty of time to download it while you wait in the line.

Can't remember exactly what we had but it was so amazing. Recommendation came off Man v Food and as always it delivered. The menu is endless and can customise exactly what you want. Loved it

I dream of these sandwiches. Two sandwich recommended: Spiffy Tiffy and Hot Momma Huda.. I love this place. Below are reviews of the two sandwiches I recommend

Spiffy Tiffy (Avocado, Halal Chicken, Mushrooms, Pepper Jack, Pesto, Provolone)
This is a sandwich I dream of. Immediately I could tell that it was going to be a great experience because of the distribution of toppings across the sandwich. All too often at other shops the meat is packed in the back corner of the bun, allowing the veggies to spill out. This reduces the quality of each bite and makes it hard to eat.

The Spiffy Tiffy sandwich was perfect. The pesto blended well with the mushrooms and provolone. The lettuce gave a nice but not overpowering crunch of freshness. I have yet to have a better sandwich better this one.

Hot Momma Huda (Buffalo Wing Sauce, Halal Chicken, Provolone, Ranch)
This sandwich didn't pack a punch of buffalo sauce (which I think can dominate and ruin a meal). Many... read more

The Menage a Trios is the sandwich I have ever had in my life!

Menage A Trois Sandwich (dish review). The Menage a Trois from Ike's is arguably the best sandwich I have had the pleasure of eating. It consists of a beautifully grilled chicken breast topped in a honey glaze, in turn covered in a spicy honey-mustard, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and two melted cheese (in my case havarti and provolone). All of this is heated by the fresh chicken and placed on a Dutch Crunch bun. The flavor of honey is noticeable but not overpowering, and I love how perfect the light mustard and small amount of mayo work together to enhance, not cover, the other flavors. The chicken breast is remarkably juicy, too, making this $7 sandwich far more than worth it. I will be back for more.

Ike's Place (Sandwiches/Subs). Ike's Place, whether the beloved San Francisco or lesser known South Bay location, always puts out culinary masterpieces shoved between two slices of bread. Options range from the standard (ham and cheese) to the... read more

Kick ass sandwiches. If you're in San Francisco, make the trip to Ike's Place! There is a limited amount of space in the place to eat, it's mostly just a takeout place, but, the food was delish and reasonably priced (sandwiches were huge).

There are a boatload of sandwiches to choose from so I would suggest looking over their menu online before getting there, otherwise you might be a little overwhelmed by all the options. I had the Matt Cain and loved it. It's definitely a place you should stop by if you're ever in the S.F. area and it's just a few blocks from the BART so it's quick to access wherever you may be in the city.

Fantastic, fresh sandwiches! There's nearly too much to choose from, but definitely delicious!!

Awesome sandwhich, friendly staff. You won't leave here hungry. No tables though just some benches to take it to go,
