Yummy clam chowder and awesome service. It's smack dab in the middle of Pike Place Market. There's a few bar stools for seating or you can take it to go.

  Worth stopping by. One, it is just fun to sit at a counter with the hustle and bustle in the middle of the heart of the market.  The chowder is very good, but the real winner is the halibut sandwich.  A huge hunk of halibut, cooked well.  It is a great value on its own, but the banter with the cooks as well as the fellow diners is a huge bonus.

  Great food, great staff, all around a fun experience! Salmon sandwiches were to die for, and the staff was kind even though it was unbelievably busy (as all of Pike Place is). Strongly recommend!

Fantastic Halibut sandwich with homemade tartar sauce. Only thing better was the friendly service.

This place was as good as the raves it's been getting Urban Spoon. Would highly recommend.

Mediocre. Thought the "blackened salmon" raves were a bit overrated. It was good but not THAT good. Maybe I'm just being picky cuz Vancouver has such great seafood.

The chowder had plenty of ingredients though and tasted fresh and filling. Still, I'd try something else next time I'm at Pike Place Market.

We had the blackened salmon sandwich and it was delicious! The service was great, these guys are passionate about making great food. I will be going back for more.

Pure & Simply Good!. I was walking the Market at Pikes Place when I came upon the Market Grill. after a moment of looking around the counter and grill I could tell it was the place to eat on a busy saturday afternoon. Simple, fresh ingredients put together with no fanfare. The Market Grill serves fresh food fast and in a very warm atmosphere. Give this eatery a try the next time you are at the Market, you will be pleased.

Best lunch at the Market!!. I walked past this place for years before I finally tried them. They're a tiny lunch counter with just a few stools, and they're right on the main arcade, which is usually so jam-packed I just thought I'd never get a seat. Surprise! If you lurk a few minutes, a seat almost always opens up, and then you'll have a ringside seat to the parade of tourists (and a few brave locals). Oh, and the food...super-fresh fish, grilled to order, served on good Market-baked bread, or on a platter with salad or rice. You can get your sandwich with or without blackened seasoning, and with house-made tartar sauce or rosemary mayonnaise. They also make their own coleslaw and clam chowder--both excellent. Service is fast and friendly. Not to be missed!!
