I would recommend a reservation for this restaurant, as it's extremely busy. We were sat at the bar, the bartender also was doing the serving for part of the restaurant. He was knowledgeable but very outspoken. We had originally looked up the menu online but found that the menu had changed. I tried the Drunken Chicken which was cooked in cognac and tasted great. They have a large bar with many premium spirits. The atmosphere was great and it felt like an experience rather than just a meal

Wow. The food here is so good! I had Sunday lunch with a friend, ordered tea and a vermicelli noodle dish with chicken. Super tasty and reasonably priced. Service was great. Planning to come back with friends for my birthday!

this is another place that i think i could eat veggies only.   love the spicy green beans.   from time to time, there is a squash dish that is tasty as well.

i can't believe they removed the squid stuffed with duck meat.   that was my go to dish to order.   i miss it.   it makes me sad.   i did get the warm banana cake, though.   at least they still have that going for them.   it's a must do.

we sat in the bar and had dinner.   it's their addition and is not as noisy as the dining room during peak times.

Crispy Drunken Chicken for the win!. My co-workers convinced me to head out for lunch with them and boy was I glad I did. The crispy drunken chicken was mouthwatering, filling and down-right delicious! Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their food! The atmosphere is clean and inviting. The only thing holding this place back was our server. To be fair, they seemed understaffed (only 2 people to tend to a very full lunch crowd) but I had to ask for the check several times before I got it and we were putting our uber-riding rating at risk while we waited to receive and pay for our bill.

Food great but our waiter not!. He was disinterested and had to be reminded many times to bring utensiles / napkins etc. Food was good

Crispy Tofu Bowl has my favorite tofu in Seattle. The flavoring in the vegetables is salty, savory, and delicious. At $12 it's a nice place to go for lunch.

Amazing Meal, Incredible Ambiance, Super Service!!!. I recently had the pleasure of working with Will Mason, Monsoon's manager, to plan and arrange a dinner for one of our company's departments. From start to finish, it was a pleasure to work with Will. His friendly demeanor and knowledge of their dishes and beverages made it incredibly easy to plan what turned out to be a lovely evening. Our meal was filled with incredible dishes, unique and fascinating cocktails and wines that paired wonderfully with all of the tastes we had the pleasure of trying.
Our meal started off with a number of their small plates. I tried the gỏi cuốn chay (vegetarian fresh rolls,) the chả giò chay (crispy vegetarian rolls, ) and the heirloom tomato salad (with watermelon and goat cheese.) Next up for me was the cá kho tộ (catfish claypot.) The caramelized flavor, mixed with the fresh coconut and lime juice, was simply amazing, and may have been my favorite dish.

Đi-đi màu!. Had an order of the cà tím xào asian eggplant (~$12): eggplant with green onion and spicy coconut sauce. Also had an order of ch giò chay crispy vegetarian rolls (~$10): taro, northwest tofu, carrots, and woodear mushrooms. Food was delicious, staff was contemplative, and the ambiance was authentic.

Pho for lunch!. Pho is served at lunch! While the portion seems smaller than their sister restaurant's version, Ba Bar, it was still tasty! I'd say the same as the previous reviewer that the server was efficient but not particularly warm. Surprisingly more snooty than the eastside version of this restaurant.
