We just stopped in after reading reviews that they had great happy hour appetizers and pizza. The service was great. However, ever dish we had including the pizza was bland and dry. Truly awful food

I recently returned to Bibiana after 5 years.  The Italian cuisine features an array of regions.  Highlights included the Beef Tartare, Veal, Porchetta, Arancini, Calzone, and Eggplant Focaccia. The pistachio cannolis were great, too.  I especially enjoyed the Sicilian wines: Nera d'Avelo and Pinot Grigio.  Bibiana is a classy, modern restaurant.

This was by far one of the best meals my young family has ever had. Starting with the host on the way in, to our all-star server Sam who attended to every question and need we had, Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca is an incredible experience. The new Head Chef Jake Addeo put together some of the best Italian food we have ever tasted. Our six year old boy inhaled his wood fired pizza, while our 9 year old girl tried scallops, sopressata and water buffalo cheese amongst other new foods for the first time ever and she loved it. The risotto was to die for, while the meats and cheeses also had us all wanting more. The deserts....the DESERTS...what can I say. Unbelievable. We had four different homemade treats to end our meal, each authentic and special to the Italian way. The homemade lemoncello's were also incredible. It was honestly hard to leave this place. The ratings do not do this establishment justice. I don't know if it's because of the old chef, but in my book as an... read more

Unprofessional Management and Sub-Par Food. We went to Bibiana to celebrate our birthdays, 5 of us, and had a very disappointing experience. We love italian food and found the food at Bibiana to be Sub-par to say the least, the branzino was so salty it was inedible, the risotto was not well cooked, and the braised veal cheeks were like leather! Even the dessert was terrible! We found the manager Francesco to be very unprofessional and the atmosphere unwelcoming. We were asked to go to the bar to have drinks first even though we came on time to our reservation and noticed how they were doing the same to everyone. Anyways, next time we will stick to our favorites with great service and food!

Lovely!. Lovely meal, decor, service. Highly recommend. We were tight on time -- I was quite late AND we had a play afterwards -- and the server took great care of us. Super stylish super Italian decor. The food was amazing -- enjoyed the carciofi and the ricotta appetizers, and we had entrees from among their daily specials. We even had time for dessert, so we indulged in a trio of the amari drinks. Their dessert menu is worth reading the amari and rosoli sections -- we *must* remember to go back to try some of the others.

Excellent restaurant italien, menu imaginatif et excellent service. Y retournera au prochain séjour à Washington.

Over priced and bland. 2 not so great meals and 2 drinks was $90. Wouldn't have complained if the food wasn't mediocre.

This is DC alright. Not your typical Italian resto- quite trendy. While its chic interior may remind you of Paris or New York, the ambience is still typical DC- very restrained and uptight. The food? The artichokes alla romana was very enjoyable but after this entree, there's more to be desired with our main dishes of hot spaghetti nero and roasted duck.

Over Rated Restaurant. I have eaten all over the world. I found Bibiana to be over rated, overpriced. We ordered four of everything from appertizer to desserts, and did not find one dish to complement about. FLAVORLESS! Even I can cook italian food better.
The waiter was OK; but the host was extremely rude!!! It was a waste of monies. I will never go back to this place, and certain will not recommend it to anyone.

While I liked the decor, wine list, and service I found the food to be a bit disappointing. The cod fritters were too salty and the fish stew broth was luke-warm. On the bright side, the chestnut soup was delicious as was the black spaghetti with blue crab. I also recommend the cauliflower side. The tiramisu dessert was blah. All in all nice but not as great as the hype.
